I absolutely loved the breakfast at Villa Lapas! They offered a selection of traditional Costa Rican dishes, and the made-to-order eggs were a highlight. The rice and beans were fantastic, and I still dream about the well-seasoned pasta I had one night! The buffet provided plenty of options, ensuring there was something for everyone. I was grateful for the tasty food, especially since we were able to enjoy it in such a beautiful, open-air dining area.

Spacious and Comfortable Rooms

The rooms at Villa Lapas were quite spacious and offered plenty of amenities. My family of four fit comfortably in our room, which came complete with a perfect bathroom. The beds were cozy, ensuring we had restful nights after our days of exploring. I also appreciated that there was good Wi-Fi, which was essential during the rainy days. Watching Netflix was a nice unexpected perk!

Birdwatching Paradise

One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible birdwatching opportunities right outside my door. The property is teeming with wildlife! I enjoyed spotting various species throughout the grounds, including beautiful birds and curious iguanas. It's a fantastic place to experience nature, and I loved taking every day to go on little wildlife hunts with my kids.

Refreshing Pools

The pools at Villa Lapas were a wonderful place to relax and cool off. I particularly enjoyed the main pool in the morning when the water was just the right temperature, around 29 degrees Celsius! It was delightful to unwind by the pool, and the smaller relaxation pools scattered around the grounds provided a tranquil escape. This added a great leisure component to our stay.

I had a nice stay at the hotel which is set in a truly beautiful jungle location. The rooms were clean and had good bathroom fixtures, but they felt a bit spartan. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to help. I enjoyed the dining options, especially the personalized meals, but the location did have a few noisy moments due to lack of sound isolation. Overall, a good value for money experience with charming surroundings.
